The four-link rear suspension gives large advantages for vehicle handling, as it is competent of dealing with the longitudinal and lateral forces apart from one another.

Electric Vehicles-Toyota

The latest prototype electric vehicle (EV) of Toyota makes its European debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2011. It involves the installation of an all-electric engine on the structure of a Toyota iQ and combines the agility of a compact city car that produces no emissions with simple and silent operation of a fully electric vehicle four-seater.

Toyota has been developing electric vehicles since 1971, including a two-seater prototype (E-com) and two generations of the RAV4 EV. A latter model, developed in cooperation with Tesla, will go on sale in the U.S. in 2012.
