The robotic assistant to walk
Honda already has a new partner. The Japanese company and taught its first model of the Walking Assist Device in April this year. Now, months later, they announce this new version; differences from the previous not only in design but also in its mission. Instead of people with walking problems, this exoskeleton is for workers who can walk like anyone else.
The system consists of two jointed legs attached to a support that reduces strain on muscles and joints. The seat mechanism built assisted exerts to force on the center of gravity of the body, so it costs us less to perform actions such as walking, climbing stairs or stay in crouching position.
