The robotic assistant to walk Honda already has a new partner. The Japanese company and taught its first model of the Walking Assist Device in April this year. Now, months later, they announce this new version; differences from the previous not only in design but also in its mission. Instead of people with walking problems, this exoskeleton is for workers who can walk like anyone else.

To emphasize that, like the previous Walking Assist Device, is not the cumbersome or bulky exoskeleton. And that is still a prototype. To use it, you just have to put on shoes that have incorporated (as if we were to go outside) and rest for your body on the seat. It is precisely in the shoes where the device sensors, which are responsible for the amount of force applied just so we can walk naturally.

For now runs on a lithium battery, which provides a range of approximately two hours. Honda will begin testing the new Walking Assist Device from this month at its plant in Saitama (Japan). At the moment, there is only a pilot project, so do not even have offered possible dates for a hypothetical release.
