2012 Kia Soul will amplify the fun of driving with a significant increase horsepower, new six-speed transmissions and the ability to deliver up to 34 miles per gallon on the highway. A new 1.6-liter GDI engine produces 135hp (100kW), up 11 percent from the previous engine).
For buyers looking for a greater boost in power, a new four-cylinder 2.0-liter is available with a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission - advanced technology that is rare in this segment.
In addition to performance improvements Soul 2012, the new model also introduces a number of important improvements in the design. Outside, Kia Soul is refreshed with new projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a redesigned hood and new front and rear bumpers.
