BMW X1 2016

It's a whole new generation, premiering platform, three - cylinder engines for basic and front - wheel drive in the sDrive. Its base and use other models like the Series 2 Active Tourer / Grand Tourer and the MINI Clubman but always with the necessary changes to adapt to the philosophy of each model.

On the front it follows true to form with the classic BMW kidney taking center stage. Optical standard include halogen bulb but option offered with high efficiency LED technology.

Outwardly the new generation X1 has nothing to do with its predecessor. Balanced boasts a more compact and muscular forms that define the essence and better draw crossover. The passion for detail is present in every place, playing with the printing of the doors and decorative fixtures to enhance the feeling of sportiness and elegance.

As usual in presentations, all equipped units were very exposed and therefore the visual impact was much greater. Alloy wheels 19 inches, panoramic roof, moldings, etc ... lots of extras that made very few were indifferent proves his appearance.

In order to engage the public, BMW offers several lines of equipment that alter the aesthetics: X-Line for the more adventurous, Sport for those seeking a dynamic touch and the M-Sport for those who want the highest distinction.

Nothing remains of the previous X1 with plastic poor and unattractive design. Now the smallest crossover BMW enjoys an impeccable presentation, with all controls in a logical location and a great finish on the padded materials make more formal appearance.

Again the equipment chosen for the press units makes it somewhat difficult to imagine a possibly less impressive at first glance version "serial". BMW offers thousands of possibilities for customization and can play with the upholstery and colors, decorative fixtures in wood, aluminum, carbon or black lacquered simile, and the size of the screen in center position.

One detail that is maintained throughout the BMW range and fails to convince is the instrumentation. The two main clocks are clear but less information is hidden by the steering wheel and therefore much of the data trip computer (either the screen standard or extended) are not visible and should force posture to consult.
In the center console is standard on all versions 6.5 - inch screen color. From there you can retrieve data from the sound system, browser easier if equip  and some parameters of the vehicle. Optional 8.8 inches is a lot more colorful and complete.

The air conditioning controls and other keypads are shared with other vehicles of the brand, highlighting the quality touch they transmit. Control navigation system is between the seats but is intuitive once you get used (it does not take long).
