Ferrari 458 Italia Grand Am 2012

The Ferrari 458 Grand Am is built to match the U.S. regulations and therefore, different from European car, especially those developing 500 horsepower and has an aerodynamic less efficient than the GT version.

Which is also equipped with a limiter 48 mm and the maximum speed is 8000. Important modifications have been made to the braking system, as the car has no ABS or traction control.  Other differences with the GT3 are the safety arch giving greater protection for safer side in a series in which collisions are quite frequent.

The car is fitted with Continental tires, the only provider of the series, with a very hard compound, again to comply with regulations set. In its shakedown today, completing a number of laps without problems, 45 to be precise in the hands of Maurizio mediani and Jaime Melo, who took turns at the wheel.

The Grand Am Ferrari 458 heavily appropriated many features of the GT3 version of this supercar. Like other racing models of this brand from the 288 GTO, Michelotto Automobili, prepared this vehicle to compete in Daytona next January.
