Ford Focus RS 2016

Ford continues its golden year (or blue depending how you look) on sports, is that after the presentation of the Ford GT and the Shelby Mustang GTR350R at the North American International Auto Show, Ford introduced the most powerful variant of the range Focus.

Aesthetically the Focus RS has a very aggressive and striking design, with many details from the world of rallying. It has some aggressive front and rear bumpers, several aerodynamic appendages and a large spoiler on the back.

Inside section changes regarding the basic versions and ST are lower than in the outside section. Where is the inclusion of a bucket seats manufactured by Recaro and the inclusion of decorative along the dashboard and door moldings; the other components remain unchanged. The RS like the ST version has three small clocks at the top of the console that make the oil pressure, temperature and pressure of supercharging.

Mechanically if there are major changes, the Focus RS has a four-cylinder gasoline engine 2.3-liter EcoBoost exerted over 320 hp. This engine is a variant of the current riding Ford Mustang. The difference of riding the Focus RS to the Mustang, is that the Focus includes a bigger turbo double entry and low inertia. Also the intercooler is modified by a higher intake. The gearbox is associated with this engine six-speed manual.

An important detail in the new Focus RS from the model of the past generation, is that going to mount a front-wheel drive to ensure an integral type. It offers greater flexibility and adhesion. This drive will be combined with the dealer pair system "Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control", where the car's computer decides how to allocate the most effective way the engine between the front axle, rear and turn between the right and left rear wheel torque. So in cornering, this system is able to send more torque to the outside and less to the inner rear wheel, which favors the rotation and improve the agility of the car.

Finally, discuss the Focus RS Series mount tires Michelin Pilot Super Sport 235 / R19, and optionally the Pilot Sport Cup bid 2 for those looking to make runs on the track.
