Mitsubishi L200 2016

The new Mitsubishi L200 features a new front, a lighter and stiffer body and a new diesel engine, main aesthetic and mechanical changes. The dashboard follows the aesthetic line already seen in other models of Mitsubishi, and shows the style and finishes own an SUV.

The Mitsubishi L200 is a good pick-up for leisure, but also to work. The new dashboard takes greater role the digital screen navigation system and radio. It just below the climate controls, identical to the Outlander, and below a double floor space to place and hide the Smartphone are located, while recharge into the USB socket.

At first glance, the new L200 look the same. But appearances are deceptive, and evolution is significant, as we shall see. Aesthetically respects the image of the previous L200, and this can be positive for some and negative for others. The L200 surprised the market by its original design, modern and avant-fade to some extent compared to its competition. It was a pickup that was closer to the aesthetics of an SUV or a crossover to that of a commercial vehicle, thanks to the rounded shapes of your body.

This original design has not been welcomed by the public, and Mitsubishi has come to acknowledge publicly. With the new L200, they say, they have tried to address these possible objections by introducing new design details. Thus, it has been retouched line feature "J" double cab, which refers to the curious form that the cargo at its junction with the cabin, which seeks to integrate the cargo box with the interior for a better cosmetic result. Designers have now added a fold at the waist that increases a little more that effect.

The interior has been renovated with a new dashboard, but does not change radically, yes, it does a bit on the line seen in the Mitsubishi Outlander. Modernity and thus gains in perceived quality, thanks to the use of auctions of aluminum or piano black, combined with better-looking plastics. The interior remember further an SUV that a pickup of industrial branch. That has been the goal and in my opinion, has been achieved.

L200 new seats are more comfortable and better grip the body. The driving position, depending on the brand, is somewhat higher and allows a better view of the front. This is important in maneuvers in stationary or off-road situations. The new form of the bonnet allows better intuit where the ends at their ends, and thus improves the perception of the measures of the car. They have also been modified pillars, to minimize blind spots, and the steering wheel is now adjustable in angle and distance.

At the wheel a good poise and stability in all roads is perceived. The steering is more direct, it is less geared down, and has a good touch. The car brakes well, and Oversteer tendency always presents in this type of vehicle can counter it by activating the permanent 4x4 drive Super Select 4WD II system The only drawback I have already mentioned. Traveling with the empty box, clear rebounds perceived in the rear axle, because of the hardness of crossbows, although it is something that you expect in a pickup. If not for this detail, driving the L200 road would be very similar to that of any SUV.

In the new L200 no extra levers. The different modes are activated by pulling a knob on the center console, electronic operation. In the small digital screen in the box at all times we watch what we activated transmission mode.
Powertrain the new Mitsubishi L200 is completed with a new diesel engine, 4N15 (internal designation) 2.4 DI-D that offers 181 HP. This engine derived from the 2.2 diesel is mounted on the Mitsubishi Outlander, increased displacement and with a little more power. It is a 4-cylinder engine with an aluminum block, twin overhead camshaft, 16-valve, direct injection, common rail system and system MIVEC variable valve. Improved emissions and consumption of 2.5 DI-D which it replaces. Situates its level of gore / km CO2 least 169, compared to 199 gr / km the previous diesel.

The revisions to this pickup is accompanied by an improvement of the standard equipment. The finished bumper, Kaiteki comes with HID headlights with lights and daytime running LED, rear view camera, keyless start, cruise control with limiter speed warning system lane departure, dual zone climate control, touch screen 7 ", electric seat adjustments and leather, among others.
