Volkswagen e-Golf 2017

The e-Golf is the electric version of the Golf 2017 and replaces the version with the same name as Volkswagen went on sale in June 2014. The most important changes are in the engine, which is more powerful, and in the battery, it has more capacity. It also has the aesthetic modifications and most of the new features of the other versions of the Golf 2017 range.

The electric motor is the same as it had before, but Volkswagen has made a series of changes for the power to increase up to 136 horses and torque up to 290 Nm (20 hp and 20 Nm more than before). The battery, located under the tunnel that runs along the body and behind the rear seats, is still lithium-ion, but now has 35.8 kWh of gross capacity (24.2 kWh in the 2014 model), which allows An autonomy of 300 km according to NEDC regulations (190 in the previous model) and about 200 km under conventional traffic conditions. According to Volkswagen, a full charge on a 7.2 kW Wallbox (requires installation by a professional) takes less than six hours.

Although Volkswagen is using a cloth cover in Golf, four-seater is one of the quietest convertibles. Volkswagen Polo R WRC Concept 2011

Volkswagen goes back into the World Rally Championship and seem to want to do well, without rushing. The victories in the sports division being added every year in the Dakar and it seems that there is no hurry for that. As I said before, until 2013 we will not shoot an entire season to the Volkswagen Polo R WRC and the tests will last at least a year yet. It's a start.

The engine chosen for the Polo R WRC Volkswagen  is a new 1.6 TSI to be around 300 hp and maximum torque will have one 350 Nm , to be associated with a sequential gearbox still developing. Traction, obviously, will be complete.

Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 35 2011

One of the living legends in the automotive world, the Volkswagen Golf GTI, is celebrating in 2011 upon completion of 35 years of his birth. To celebrate this magical moment, the German has the special edition Golf GTI 35 Edition, a superb tribute to the sport compact reference.

This special version of the VW Golf GTI variant is distinguished from that we know of several details. First, in the mechanical section we find a slight difference, particularly with an increase in power from 210 hp to the original 235 hp GTI Edition 35.

Volkswagen Golf GTD 2009

On the outside the Golf GTD is every bit as aggressive as the GTI, micking its petrol powered sibling almost identically but with a few subtle differentiating features.

The flat-bottomed three-spoke sport steering wheel also features the GTD signature on the vertical spoke, while a multifunction wheel is also available which features integrated shift paddles for DSG models.
