Lynk and Co is a brand new Chinese company Geely, which owns Volvo. On their website it says it is "a global collaboration of experts in design, engineering, programming and connectivity industry leaders such as Volvo, Microsoft, Ericsson and Alibaba."
His first model is 01 (the brand says will appoint the following number following the natural succession), a vehicle-looking midsize SUV. Its marketing will begin in 2017 in China and later reach Europe and the United States of America.
01 will be built using a new modular platform that will also be used in Volvo and Geely. It will be available with thermal, electric motors and hybrid systems, and will help systems to more or less normal driving, such as emergency braking with pedestrian detection, the programmer speed active and warnings by involuntary lane departure and presence of obstacles in the blind spot.
There will be versions with manual or automatic (double clutch and seven relations).
The newest of Lynk and Co 01 has to do with marketing and sharing. The car may also buy concessions, the internet and the price will be fixed; nor will there be a list of options but several possible configurations. The delivery of the car will be at the buyer's home, where he will pick it up for maintenance. 01 may be shared when not in use, moving the car business Airbnb.
Inside there are two large screens, one that makes instrument panel and one on the dashboard. The connectivity system will offer an open API to develop new features.
