Mini Countryman 2017

MINI will release a new Countryman in March 2017. It is the second generation of this model. The first generation was launched in 2010 and was updated in 2014 ( more information ). In comparison, the new one has a body 20 cm longer three centimeters wider wheelbase and more so, according MINI, spaciousness and cargo space are higher. A novelty in the MINI range is that there will be a plug-in hybrid version.

The engine range comprises, in addition to the plug-in hybrid (MINI Cooper Countryman ALL4 SE), two diesel versions and two petrol, all available with front- or four-wheel drive and manual or automatic transmission. The following table are contained all versions and possible combinations.

The drive system MINI ALL4 Countryman Cooper is the same as the BMW Active Tourer 225xe IPerformance . It is formed by the thermal gasoline engine 136 Cooper horses associated with front axle and an electric motor of 88 horsepower that drives the wheels of the rear axle. The combined capacity of the whole system is 224 horses. Autonomy in electric mode is 40 km.

The two less powerful versions have 16-inch wheels as standard and the two most powerful 17. Optionally can be up to 19 inches in diameter. Management has electro-mechanical assistance and cushions can be fixed adjustment (standard) or variable (optional).

MINI says the Countryman is now more practical for their broader, because there are larger holes in the passenger compartment and because it has new details. The luggage compartment volume grows in 100 liters compared to the previous generation (450 l).
